In 2010, Maria and Emma and their band released an album titled Omani uni [Dream of my own], a selection of new settings of Finnish poetry. The album featured a string quartet and a jazz trio in addition to the two wonderful soloists. The second album by the same combo, to be released in spring 2024, includes new songs from contributors such as Anna-Mari Kähärä, Lauri Salokoski, Marzi Nyman and Pekka Kuusisto, to lyrics e.g. by Heimo Hatakka, Sofi Oksanen, Ingrid Sjöstrand and Edith Södergran. Half of the tracks are in Finnish and half in Swedish, making this an excellent choice for our Swedish-speaking audience members.
