Patrik Kleemola (b. 1981) is at the forefront of classical guitar in Finland, actively performing as a soloist, chamber musician and symphony orchestra soloist. After winning the II Guitaristival international guitar competition in Turku dedicated to Toru Takemitsu and winning prizes at the Gargnano international guitar competition in Italy, he has performed as a soloist at several major music festivals not only in his home country but also in London, Rome, Buenos Aires, Athens, Dublin, Tallinn, Milan, Florence and Oberstdorf.

Kleemola’s repertoire includes concertos by Rodrigo, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Takemitsu, Ponce, Giuliani, Vivaldi, Gerung, Heiniö and Maggio, which he has performed as soloist with the Orquesta Sinfonica de la Juventud Venezuelana El Sistema, Orchestra I Pomeriggi Musicali Milan, San Remo Symphony Orchestra, Lecce Symphony Orchestra, Turku Philharmonic Orchestra and Uusinta Ensemble.

Kleemola is known for his intensive collaboration with numerous composers and his commissions have already expanded his guitar repertoire with more than six dozen works ranging from solo pieces to chamber music, from guitar concertos to pedagogical guitar literature. Kleemola works as a lecturer of guitar at the Turku Conservatory and since 2014 as the artistic director of the Turku Guitar Festival, which he founded.
