A stilled longing
In January’s Aurora concert, the delicate sound of music and deep emotional compositions merge together, interpreted by three wonderful artists. Soprano Annukka Kuivisto, violist Harri Sippel and pianist Jaana Luuppala take to the stage. The concert will feature gems of romantic music that will speak to you with their beauty and intensity of expression.
Brahms’ works transport the listener to landscapes of deep longing and gentle consolation, while Bridge’s work offers its listeners sentimental moments rich in tone and speaks to them with its timeless beauty. Saint-Saëns’ Sonata brings dynamic and virtuosic joy to the concert. The three-movement work takes the listener on a rollercoaster ride of emotions and sensations, with viola and piano flowing smoothly together. The evening concludes with Loeffler’s Five Songs, which are like impressionist paintings in tune. In these songs, beauty and melancholy intertwine to create an enchanting end to the evening.
The concert is free of charge, welcome!
