Jaana Luuppala studied piano at the Turku Conservatory and continued her studies at the Sibelius Academy.

After graduation she has worked as a piano teacher and lecturer at the Turku Region Music Institute and since 2007 at the Turku Conservatory. Luuppala has also worked as a headmaster at the Arkipelag Music College and the Rauma Music College. Luuppala’s experience in music production comes from the Mänttä Music Festival, where she was the main producer from 2014 to 2019, and she currently sits on the board of the Mänttä Music Festival Association.

Luuppala also works as an hourly lecturer at the Turku Academy of Arts and has performed as a musician in various ensembles over the years, most recently in Sibelius, kuolematon (2018), Suurenmoista (2019) and Kuoleva Sisar (2021).
