What if a lied concert were more than just a concert; what if it were a 24-hour journey in which music and nature walk side by side, telling the same story?
Back to the Nature is an experience where we pause to contemplate natural phenomena and mythical imagery: a sunset by the sea, the starry night sky, the quiet light of the moon, and the forest awakening in the morning. Schubert’s songs open up a world where the sky, fire, clouds, and darkness are not merely scenery, but reflect the human inner experience.
The program consists of four short concerts and the transitions between them, forming a cohesive, airy arc. Finnish tones rise alongside Schubert’s: solo songs by Sibelius, Kilpinen, and Saariaho engage in a dialogue with his music, deepening themes of nature, timelessness, and humanity.
The result is a concert experience that not only unfolds but also carries the listener along.
This concert is included in the ticket price when you purchase a ticket for the Wanderer or Homeland concerts at the Sibelius Museum.

INFO
- Address: Kuuvannokantie 98, 20100 Turku
- Public transportation: Bus 28. Upon arrival at the concert, the bus goes as far as the Kuuva parking lot (Kuuva stop, 588), from which it is about a 1 km walk to Kuuvannokka. After the concert, the late-night bus 28 routes do not depart from the stop at the Kuuva parking lot but from along Ruissalontie (Hietalantie stop, 558). The walking distance from Kuuvannokka to the Ruissalontie stop is approximately 2.8 km.
- Accessibility: The concert will be held on the cliffs of Kuuvannokka. Seating is naturally on the cliffs; there are no chairs. If you wish, you can bring your own picnic blanket or folding chair. If necessary, you can drive to the end of Kuuvannokantie (private road) and drop off passengers there, in which case the walking distance is approximately 200 meters; however, cars cannot be left in the Kuuvannokka area. At the end of Kuuvannokantie, a trail (approx. 200 m) begins leading up to the cliffs, featuring ascents and descents as well as an uneven, natural trail surface.
- Parking: Parking area at the intersection of Kuuvannokantie and Kuuvantie, from which it is about a 1.2 km walk along Kuuvannokantie to the Kuuvannokka cliffs. There are about 14 parking spaces in the area—we recommend arriving primarily by bus or bicycle. There is a bike path from downtown Turku to the intersection of Ruissalontie and Kuuvantie; there is no separate bike path between Kuuvantie and Kuuvannokka.
