Ruben Goesch began studying the violin at the age of five, and one year later he joined the class of Araik Resjan at the Turku Conservatory. He also studied with Markku Jokinen and Juha-Pekka Vikman before going on to study with Jaakko Ilves at the Sibelius Academy.
He has attended masterclasses given by Wouter Vossen, Cecilia Zilliacus, Antti Tikkanen and others. He is a member of the Kustavi Ensemble, bringing classical music to the region where he feels at home, the Turku Archipelago. He has also performed in the concert series at Turku Cathedral and has played with the Lohja City Orchestra. He finds inspiration in playing chamber music and in suitably long coffee breaks. He has received support for his artistic development from the Finnish Cultural Foundation.
