Nicholas Pulkkinen is a pianist from Turku, Finland. His career in music has evolved from classical training towards a multidisciplinary approach over the years. Pulkkinen has studied piano and guitar at the Turku Conservatory and has a degree in music pedagogy from Turku University of Applied Sciences. His teachers have included Marjatta Linko, Niklas Pokki, Jukka Juvonen, Patrik Kleemola and Tuomas Kourula. Pulkkinen has performed twice in the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra’s Young Soloists’ Concert, at the Lemi Music Festival and at the Eurajoki Bel Canto Festival. In addition to piano, Pulkkinen also teaches guitar privately and at the Ainola-Talvio Music School in Turku. Pulkkinen practices technical skills in his day job as an oral hygienist and as guitarist in Simulacrum, a progressive metal band.
