The Turku Music Festival’s festival weeks will culminate in a sing-along event open to everyone at Turku Market Square on Friday, 21 August 2026 at 11:00 AM.
The sing-along will be led by internationally acclaimed bass Mika Kares, renowned for his performances on some of the world’s most prestigious opera and concert stages. Pianist Nicholas Pulkkinen, a native of Turku, will accompany the event. Together, they will guide the audience through a selection of familiar songs in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The programme features beloved songs ranging from opera and popular classics to musicals and children’s songs. Visitors are welcome to join in for the entire event or simply stop by to enjoy a shared musical moment. Song lyrics are available on the event website.
The sing-along is free of charge and open to everyone. The event will take place on the Mushroom Stage at Market Square. In case of bad weather, the event will be moved to Hansatori in the Hansa shopping centre.
The event will also be livestreamed by Turun Sanomat.
