Originally from Sonkajärvi, Juho Keränen currently works as a piano lecturer at the Vantaa Music Institute, where he also teaches improvisation and chamber music, as well as serving as an accompanist. Previously, Juho has also taught at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki and at the East Helsinki Music Institute.
As a musician, he has achieved success in several piano competitions, and he is an experienced performer as an orchestral soloist, concert pianist, lied pianist, accompanist, chamber musician, recording artist, and studio musician. Juho is described especially as a bold artist who crosses boundaries between different musical styles.
