HANNA HUJANEN

Hanna Hujanen (b. 1998) has played clarinet with a number of Finnish orchestras, particularly with the Helsinki Philharmonic and the Tapiola Sinfonietta. She has also played with Avanti!, the Orchestra of the Finnish National Opera and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra. In autumn 2022, she will take up the post of Alternating Principal Clarinet with the Kymi Sinfonietta.

Hanna Hujanen appeared as a Young Soloist with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and has since performed at numerous festivals at home and abroad. This summer, she appears at the Encuentro de Santander and at Helsinki Opera Summer in addition to the Turku Music Festival.

Hanna Hujanen is completing her Master of Music degree at the Sibelius Academy, studying with Harri Mäki and Kari Kriikku. She has also studied with Hermann Stefansson at the Royal Swedish Academy of Music and has attended several international masterclasses. She has received the Tempo Prize of Radio Classic and scholarships from the ProMusica and Wegelius Foundations, besides being a grant recipient of the Finnish Cultural Foundation and of the Finnish Musical Arts Support Fund.
