Chorus Iucundus has appeared in productions such as Kirmo Lintinen’s baroque opera Fitness, Marko Autio’s comic opera Logicomix, led workshops for choral conducting students at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, and performed at Finland’s national celebration of the Reformation anniversary.
Chorus Iucundus received two gold stamps at the Tampere Vocal Music Festival choir review in 2015. In spring 2016, the choir placed second in the “Finland’s Best School Choir” competition in Espoo, and in autumn 2018 Chorus Iucundus received a special award for the best interpretation of early music at the International Choral Festival in Derry, Northern Ireland.
In spring 2025, Juccis represented Finland in the children’s and youth choir category of the Let the Peoples Sing competition. Juccis was also selected for the final of the Erik Fordell Choir Competition 2025 based on a recorded preliminary round.
Juccis performs actively in Turku and the surrounding region and collaborates regularly with chamber choirs from Vaskivuori Upper Secondary School and Sibelius Upper Secondary School, among others.
The choir is conducted by Timo Lehtovaara.
