Turku Music Festival celebrates Fuuga’s first Christmas by bringing one of the most beloved names in Finnish choral music, Ylioppilaskunnan Laulajat, to the stage of the new concert hall. With a history spanning over a century, the choir has been part of Finnish Christmas traditions for generations—and this year, audiences can experience this cherished tradition in Fuuga’s new concert venue.
The concert features timeless and atmospheric Christmas songs performed with the rich and resonant sound of Ylioppilaskunnan Laulajat. The performance is conducted by the choir’s Artistic Director Pasi Hyökki, with special guest, Suomi Prize-winning guitarist Jarmo Saari, whose distinctive soundscapes bring a new dimension to the programme.
In this Christmas concert, tradition lives and breathes in the present moment, guiding the listener into the spirit of the season.
