Henriikka Tavi is a poet and writer whose work has been described as experimental, playful and language conscious. Tavi has been widely acclaimed for her work and has won several awards. Tavi has a natural tendency to push the boundaries of literature and poetry: she is known, for example, for her 12-project, in which she tested whether it would be possible for a poet to use royalties to get above the poverty line, i.e. to publish 12 poetry books in a year. She has published numerous works of poetry, the most recent being Remu (Teos, 2023) and Pinnan alla -epälibretto (Poesiavihkot/Poesia 2023). Tavi teaches writing at Kriittinen korkeakoulu and is an active founding member of Osuuskunta Poesia.
