Katariina Sallinen is a freelance musician based in Turku. She has studied violin pedagogy at the Turku Academy of Arts and, in addition to her teaching work, has played in productions at the Turku City Theatre, Åbo Svenska Teater, Saaristo Opera and Dance Theatre Eri, and has worked as a violinist in the Turku, Oulu and Mikkeli City Orchestras. Katariina is also a member of the Kuninkaantien muusikot -orchester, an orchestra specialising in early music, plays chamber music actively and enjoys performing wherever a violinist is needed – in churches, concert halls and rock clubs.
