This concert brings together two composers whose music springs from silence and speaks on a deeply human level. The meditative melodies of Arvo Pärt and the lyrical melancholy of Franz Schubert intertwine to create a programme in which the passage of time seems to stop for a moment.
Pärt’s music is full of fragile beauty – simple but meaningful sounds that give space to the listener’s own feelings. His works are filled with peace, contemplative clarity and a comforting timelessness. Schubert’s sonatas, on the other hand, unfold as a deeply emotional narrative, alternating between fragility and power.
The programme moves from light, dance-like moments to profound reflection, from delicate melody to intense drama. Each tune is part of a story, carrying the listener through light and shadow, silence and sound.
The concert marks the opening of the exhibition “The Formula of Love – Tracing Arvo Pärt’s Compositions”.
