Minna-Leena Lahti is an opera singer from Kokkola, whose main areas of expertise are contemporary opera and church music. She graduated from the Sibelius Academy’s opera program with a diploma in singing in December 2019, won the national Toivo Kuula singing competition in August 2021, and made her debut at the Finnish National Opera in October 2023 in the role of Donna Elvira in W.A. Mozart’s Don Giovanni. In February 2026, she will return to the stage of the Finnish National Opera in the role of Tove in Sebastian Fagerlund’s premiere opera Morgonstjärnan. Lahti has studied singing under Anitta Ranta, Raimo Niemikorpi, and Hannu Niemelä. Since graduating, she has continued to develop her instrument under the guidance of Monika Hauswalter and Wilma Vernocchi. Lahti says she sings because singing is fun.
