Matti Paatelma has been working for 25 years as a musician with Finland’s leading artists on stage, in the studio and on television. Currently, he plays regularly in Samuli Edelmann’s and Sami Pitkämö’s ensembles. Paatelma has worked as a composer, arranger, conductor and producer on numerous high-profile projects.

Paatelma has released two solo piano albums. In 2020 “Awakening” and in 2022 “Kotona” (Home). Both albums have also been published as sheet music collections.

Paatelma has been a teacher of free composition and piano at the Sibelius Academy since 2002.
