Maria has inherited her vocal talent and remarkable musicality from her parents, the singers Tamara Lund and Alexandru Ionitză. Her mother’s beauty and refined features, combined with her father’s Romanian intensity, have come together strikingly in Maria. From an early age, she accompanied her parents on tour and took part in small stage roles whenever possible—dancing, singing, and playing the harp.
