Henrik Sandås is a bandoneon artist and arranger whose repertoire spans Argentine tango and tango nuevo, as well as Baroque music, contemporary art music, and improvisation. He is widely appreciated as a sensitive and expressive musician, whose narrative playing style has captivated audiences in both Europe and South America. In recent years, Sandås has performed extensively with various symphony orchestras, both as a soloist and arranger. In summer 2025, he made his debut as a soloist with the BBC Concert Orchestra in London. He is also an active chamber musician and has premiered numerous works written specifically for the bandoneon.
In addition, Sandås collaborates in interdisciplinary projects with poets, composers, dancers, actors, and other artists, exploring the expressive possibilities of the bandoneon in dialogue between different art forms.
