Estonian violinist Mari Poll has performed as a soloist and chamber musician across the world with several orchestras, including Orchestre de Paris, Norwegian Radio Orchestra, Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Kremerata Baltica, Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. Mari has recorded for the Warner Classics (2012) and DUX (2017 with Mihkel Poll and 2021 with trio Poll-Varema-Poll). She is a prizewinner in multiple international competitions, and she has also been awarded with the Tagore Gold Medal that was presented to her by HRH King Charles III. Mari is a graduate at the Royal College of Music in London where she studied with Jan Repko and Radu Blidar and Norwegian Academy of Music, where she studied with Peter Herresthal. She is currently working as the senior lecturer at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre in violin and chamber music performance. Mari has previously held positions at the Estonian National Opera as the first concertmaster and in Stavanger Symphony Orchestra as the 2nd Concertmaster. On top of her solo engagements Mari is actively giving concerts with her trio Poll-Varema-Poll. Mari plays on a violin by Christophe Landon, Copy of Antonio Stradivarius ‘Soil’ 1714.
