Eveliina Kytömäki is a versatile keyboard player whose instruments include the harpsichord, fortepiano, and modern piano. She is particularly drawn to expressive music ranging from early Baroque to contemporary repertoire.
Eveliina studied piano at the Sibelius Academy with Tuija Hakkila, Ilmo Ranta, and Jussi Siirala. She further specialised in fortepiano and historical performance practice in the United States at Cornell University, studying with Malcolm Bilson. She has also studied harpsichord and continuo playing at Novia University of Applied Sciences with Petteri Pitko.
Eveliina has performed at Finnish festivals including Kuhmo Chamber Music, Savonlinna Opera Festival, and the music festivals of Oulu, Mänttä, and Turku, as well as in the Sibelius Academy concert series. She has also performed in Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Belgium, France, the United Kingdom, Austria, and the United States. She has made radio recordings for Yle and recorded songs by Väinö Raitio with Helena Juntunen. From 2007 to 2008, she worked as a chamber musician with the Norwegian MiN Ensemble.
Eveliina lives in Turku, spends time at her summer cottage in Kakskerta, and works as a Principal Lecturer in piano and piano pedagogy at the Arts Academy of Turku University of Applied Sciences. She also teaches fortepiano at the Sibelius Academy of the University of the Arts Helsinki.
