Elsa Angervo (b. 2002) is a French-Finnish mezzo-soprano. In April 2025 she received the Génération Opéra prize at the international Clermont-Ferrand Singing Competition, and in July 2025 she won the Timo Mustakallio Singing Competition in Savonlinna.
Elsa Angervo began her vocal studies in 2018 at the Conservatoire of Montpellier under Léa Pasquel. Since 2022 she has deepened her knowledge of baroque singing at the Pôle des Arts Baroques of the Conservatoire of Toulouse, under the guidance of Salomé Haller and Jérôme Corréas, from which she graduated in June 2025. At the same time, she has studied since 2021 at the Académie Lyrique Toulouse Occitanie, where her teachers have included Léa Pasquel and Christophe Larrieu, répétiteur at the Opéra National de Toulouse.
She has participated in numerous masterclasses with, among others, Karine Deshayes, Jeanne Piland, Falk Struckmann, Emily Rawlins, François Le Roux, and Rainer Trost.
Elsa Angervo has performed in several productions and festivals in France, both in opera roles (Dido – Dido & Aeneas, Purcell; La Messaggiera – L’Orfeo, Monteverdi; La bergère, La chatte, l’écureuil – L’enfant et les sortilèges, Ravel) as well as in baroque soloist engagements.
