The Turku Music Festival Foundation has appointed Heli Koskinen, Master of Arts and music pedagogue, as its new Sales and Marketing Manager. Koskinen will be responsible for sales, marketing, and communications for the Turku Music Festival, a classical music festival organized by the foundation, and its related activities. Koskinen will be transferring to her new position from the Finnish Conservatory Association, where she coordinated the Future-Proof Educational Culture project. Prior to joining the Finnish Conservatory Association, Koskinen worked as a project coordinator for the City of Turku’s Creative Circular Cities project within the Cultural Spearhead Project.

Koskinen has extensive experience in communications, marketing, and project coordination in both the cultural and events sector and the retail sector. Koskinen has also worked as a communications consultant for various communications agencies. Turku Music Festival is Koskinen’s leap into the world of festival marketing, communications, and sales. Koskinen’s goal is to increase awareness of Turku Music Festival among both locals and tourists.

“I am excited about the opportunity to develop the sales and visibility of the Turku Music Festival as part of the festival’s forward-looking top team. The Turku Music Festival is a traditional but boldly innovative festival that combines high artistic standards with new openings. As Sales and Marketing Manager, I want to bring a strong understanding of the audience, narrative thinking, and data-driven approaches to my work. My goal is for more and more Turku residents and visitors to find their way to the unique experiences offered by the festival,” Koskinen comments.

This year’s Turku Music Festival will be held starting on August 1. The full program will be published during the winter of 2026. Check out the program at tmj.fi.
