Welcome to a concert where music, poetry and space are intertwined to create art in the moment. Viola da gamba master Mikko Perkola performs his own music, combining traditional instruments and electronic soundscapes in an open-minded and sensitive way.
The concert is rich in improvisation; each performance is a unique, living web of sounds and emotions. There is also poetry in Finnish and Swedish, giving words and melodies space to meet each other.
The venue is Life on a Leaf, a boundary breaking art installation in Hirvensalo designed by visual artist Jan-Erik Andersson. Every detail of the house has been carefully considered – breaking traditional building norms. The colourful house, which uses recycled materials, combines architecture, visual arts and creative thinking. Please note that due to the uniqueness of the venue, some seats may be visually obstructed.
The Life on a Leaf concert is a rare opportunity to step into this unique environment and spend a moment completely dedicated to music and presence. An hour without phones or obligations – just sounds, words and being together.
