He has placed first in the violin division of the Royal Swedish Academy of Music’s National Auditions on numerous occasions and was also a winner of Bergen Philharmonic’s Soloist Competition, “De Unges Konsert” in 2017.

In recent years, Philip has been in demand as an orchestral leader in orchestras in Sweden and abroad and served as temporary 1st Concertmaster of the Bochumer Symphoniker during the 2018-19 season. Philip’s great musical inspirations are Catherine Cho and Itzhak Perlman, with whom he studied at The Juilliard School for nine years.
