This summer, the Turku Music Festival will be seen and heard across the city in a whole new way. For the first time, Music Oasis will be created at Turku Market Square for the August festival weeks – the festival’s own meeting place and a welcoming summer living room in the heart of the city.
Music Oasis will pulse with the rhythm of the festival throughout August. Visitors can enjoy relaxed concerts, artist talks, discussions and other unexpected moments. At the Morning Kick-off, held every Tuesday and Friday at 11:00 AM, Turku Music Festival CEO Jussi Merikanto will welcome festival artists, partners and other inspiring guests for conversations, accompanied by live music.
Music Oasis is also home to the festival’s ticket sales and information point, where visitors can purchase tickets for the August concerts. The area also features a HiFi Klubben listening station, where visitors can experience high-quality sound reproduction and explore the festival programme. The soundscape of Music Oasis has been designed by Turku Music Festival Artistic Director Lauri Porra.
Music Oasis opens on 31 July and will be open at Turku Market Square until 21 August, generally from Tuesday to Saturday between 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Detailed opening hours and the weekly programme will be updated throughout the festival on this page and on the Turku Music Festival’s social media channels.
A warm welcome to Music Oasis to enjoy music, inspiring encounters and the unique atmosphere of the August festival!
