TMJ X PAAVO NURMI MARATHON

Culture and sports meet when Turku Music Festival brings surprising music to the Paavo Nurmi Marathon!

TMJ and Paavo Nurmi continue their collaboration as TMJ brings entertainment to marathoners and spectators alike. At the start of the race, the male choir Laulun Ystävät will cheer the runners on to an explosive start and entertain the crowd. At Forum Marinum, the Cantus Mercurialis choir will entertain runners along the route. At the end of the route, DJ Nizar will ensure that the atmosphere is kept high and that the runners are energetic all the way back to the finish line at the Market Square.

In addition, two quartets from Laulun Ystävät will make surprise appearances on the Föli lines during the day.

The TMJ X Paavo Nurmi Marathon is part of the City of Turku’s Cultural Spearhead Project pop-up art programme.
