Duration 2 h, 1 intermission
Taking us to the heart of Europe in the heat of the 1920s, with a turbulent transition from the old world to the new, this programme leads us from the classical salons of Vienna via schlagers in Berlin and Impressionism in Paris to the hot rhythms of jazz in New York. The music progresses from the dying embers of operetta through the social criticism of Kurt Weill and French elegance to the emergence of jazz.
The 18:00 concert is SOLD OUT. Ticket sales for a new concert at 21:00 is now open.
