Turku Music Festival brings music to Paimio Sanatorium again this year!
Two elements of cultural and historical significance will meet in August when the Turku Music Festival brings the festive atmosphere to the legendary Paimio Sanatorium. The two concerts will bring the audience into the romantic atmosphere of an English stately home. The concerts have been designed with the delicate and natural setting of the sanatorium in mind, so that the listener can experience the whole experience with all their senses. Beata Antikainen (cello), Tami Pohjola (violin) and Johannes Piirto (piano) join forces to play works by Joseph Haydn, Rebecca Clarke and Franz Schubert, among others.
The concerts can be combined with tours of the Paimio sanatorium designed by Alvar and Aino Aalto, delicious catering or even atmospheric hotel nights at the sanatorium.
