Tuukka Vähätalo graduated as a music pedagogue from the Turku Academy of Arts, where he completed his B-course piano exam with excellent grades under Jukka Juvonen. He placed 3rd in the Leevi Madetoja Piano Competition 2012 and 2nd in the Pianoaura Competition 2013. Vähätalo has performed as a versatile lied and chamber musician over the years, including several concerts at the Eurajoki Bel Canto Festival with Mika Kares, the Pianoaura Festival, Nauvo Chamber Music Festival, Joroinen Music Festival and as a young soloist with the Turku Philharmonic Orchestra. He has also performed the piano version of Sibelius’ Kullervo Symphony in collaboration with the Turku-based Naskalit Male Choir in Finland and Estonia.
