American baritone Thomas Florio has been praised for his interpretation of Peter Maxwell Davies’s Eight Songs for a Mad King as “peerless” (NRC Handelsblad), “a grand master of using his voice” (Hufvudstadsbladet) and “vocalism seamlessly combined with physical expression” (Rondo Classic). He has performed chamber music at concerts and festivals in Finland, Belgium, Italy, Spain, Germany and the USA, and he has appeared in opera productions at the Hamburg and Bavarian State Operas, at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, at the Opéra national de Lorraine and at the San Francisco Opera.
